What you will do

Training adult learners in a small group setting. Developing and administering weld tests to UAW employees in order for them to obtain the necessary weld certifications.

Supports training and on-going qualifications of all Welders. Critical for manufacturing of pressure related products, meeting of applicable codes such ASME, piping and SQLO. These compliance's are required in order to sell related product lines.

How you will do it

  • Interview and test Welder candidates and provide comprehensive training to new hires to work in our facility that supports our Industrial Refrigeration business

  • Train adult learners on Tig Root, Pulse Mig, Fill and Cap techniques, among others with zero defects

  • Administers weld certification testing for UAW employees in the 6G.

  • Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

What we look for

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Experience with Tig Root, Pulse Mig, Fill and Cap techniques, among others.

  • Ability to communicate effectively before small groups.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of planes and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • ASME certifications preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications

  • Ability to work 2nd shift, 2:00 - 10:00 pm Monday - Friday
