Teaching Assistant

Teaching assistants will support and attend the mathematics co-requisite courses, run advanced mathematics lab sections, and provide tutoring for 100-level mathematics courses.

* Provide professional teaching assistance for mathematics co-requisite courses of MATH 112, College Algebra, and MATH 135, Introduction to Statistics

* Teach the lab sections of calculus courses

* Provide professional teaching assistance and tutoring for 100-level mathematics courses in the mathematics tutoring lab

* Supervise student tutor

* BA or BS in Mathematics or Mathematics Education required; MA or MS Mathematics or Mathematics Education preferred

* Some teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred

* Familiarity with MyLab and Excel

* Excellent organization and communication skills

* Knowledge of Window-based computer applications

* Ability to learn utilization of online course management systems
