Essential Functions:



  1. Must be able to analyze models, blue prints, and sketches with the assistance of D365, CAD Software, Excel, and Word.
  2. Write programs to ensure that the machinery will function within its limits and the output will meet required quality, run rate and yield specifications. Report any expected deviation to appropriate personnel.
  3. Must make updates to programs to reflect revision changes and other changes as required.
  4. Must be capable of running a q-job and programming load, program parts according to load priority.
  5. Works closely with production to trouble shoot programs at the machine.
  6. Should be able to set up, operate, and adjust machines being programmed to trouble shoot at first run if needed.
  7. Responsible for the complete manufacture of products through CNC programming, fixturing, MPP's (manufacturing process plan) and the setting of time standards for both new and current products.
  8. Responsible for the successful launch of new products and improvements upon existing products.
  9. Assists the shop floor with day-to-day manufacturing issues and improvements.
  10. Interacts with Product Engineering, Operations, Sales and Tooling on new products to ensure all designs are acceptable for manufacturing. Participates in design review process.
  11. Assists others in root cause and corrective actions as required.
  12. Develops and maintains robust, cost effective manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices.
  13. Recommends and implements cost reductions and increased efficiency by improving tooling, processing, and equipment utilization.
  14. Manages projects and conducts project reviews as needed to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.
  15. Promotes safe work environment, conducts self within mission, vision and values.
  16. Complies with BTD's Quality System and processes.
  17. Performs other work-related duties as requested.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Must possess a valid Driver's License.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED



  1. At least two years of recent BTD Manufacturing production quality experience which include the following skills and abilities:
  2. Ability to fluently communicate with the use of computer, phone, drawings and written skills.
  3. At least two years of related mechanical and shop experience, which includes the following skills and abilities:
  4. Ability to plan and organize work in a timely and effective manner.
  5. Strong working knowledge of processes, equipment capabilities, materials, methods and practices used in production operations.
  6. Strong working knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions such as lights, guards, switches, etc.
  7. Ability to understand, follow, and issue routine oral and written instructions
  8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  9. Must be very mechanically inclined, paying a high degree of attention to accuracy of work.
  10. Strong working knowledge of various computers aided modeling and drafting software.

Compensation Salary Range: OTC7: $25.60 - $35.87 per hour. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
