Description
- Provide guidance to all supporting departments.
- The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for client/customer communication and the on-time/on-budget delivery of their projects.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in a Project Management role (Preferably with a focus on fabrication or construction in Aerospace).
Duties
- Provide clients and internal project disciplines (Quality, HSE, Operations, Accounting) with potential solutions when issues arise.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate across engineering, fabrication, quality assurance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
- Review and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and 3D models to support accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, codes, and certifications
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and regulatory representatives, providing regular updates and maintaining strong relationships.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues and developing corrective action plans as needed.
- Monitor and enforce safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Prepare and present status reports, forecasts, and project performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
- Serve as liaison between client and internal disciplines. Provide drawings, specifications, work packs to fabrication shops and 3rd party suppliers.
- Manage multiple jobs/clients simultaneously.
- Organize and maintain documentation via SharePoint.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements
- Proven experience managing fabrication or construction projects in the aerospace sector, with a strong understanding of structural and precision component manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of aerospace fabrication methods including welding, machining, assembly, and testing of flight or mission-critical components.
- Ability to read, interpret, and manage projects using aerospace drawings, models, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality and regulatory standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, NASA, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and execute projects to meet strict deadlines and budgetary constraints.
- Skilled in cross-functional coordination between engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and fabrication teams.
- Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage directly with customers, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
