Extrusion Assistant Operator - 3rd Shift Location: Sussex, WI Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM (8 hours guaranteed OT) Job Summary The Extrusion Assistant Operator supports the setup, operation, and maintenance of blown film extrusion lines to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality film products. This role works closely with Extrusion Operators and Production Leads to meet daily production goals. Responsibilities Assist Extrusion Operator with setup, startup, and operation of blown film extrusion equipment Perform roll changes and quality checks using visual inspection and measurement tools Maintain material supply for extrusion lines and ensure proper labeling of finished products Operate forklifts, palletizers, and core cutting equipment safely Complete production reports accurately and on time Troubleshoot basic machine and material issues, escalating as needed Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Learn and develop skills to independently operate an extrusion line Follow all company policies, safety rules, and quality procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred 1+ year of manufacturing, machine operation, or other technical experience preferred Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals) Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English Comfortable climbing stairs, working at heights, and wearing required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves) Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime when needed Why Work at Pregis Competitive pay + shift differential Full benefits package within the first 30 days (medical, dental, vision) On-the-job training and career advancement opportunities Safe, collaborative work environment If you're ready to grow your manufacturing career and join a company that values its people, apply today for the Extrusion Assistant Operator - 3rd Shift position in Sussex, WI. #sharp1 Diversity and Inclusion We believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
