Job Description:

The Document Control Specialist (Configuration Analyst) will oversee and manage the structured control of Bill of Materials (BOMs), system settings, and lifecycle processes within AX and related business systems. This role demands strong collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills to work effectively across engineering, production, finance, and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams.
  • Establish Engineering Change Control meetings and help facilitate resolution of issues that may arise during the change review process
  • Create, adopt, and maintain item and BOM structures in AX, ensuring alignment with company processes.
  • Establish AX system and BOM structures to support production, including CVGGrp, MRP settings, and warehouses.
  • Oversee End-of-Life (EOL) management, determining responsibility between production and engineering.
  • Interface with finance, defining touchpoints and operational financial interactions.
  • Manage intercompany setups for collaboration between factories/groups.
  • Lead lifecycle management, including dormant item reviews and strategic decisions.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of business/site operations to ensure alignment with system configurations.
  • Oversee engineering BOMs, inventory disposition, and engineering change control processes.
  • Manage AX system settings updates, including safety stock, transaction agreements, revision updates, and other key configurations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or other relevant area and 0-3 years of experience.
  • Leadership and negotiation skills - able to push back when necessary and maintain collaboration.
  • Ability to interface with multiple locations and departments to ensure seamless integration of processes.
  • Understanding of business operations.
  • High-level communication skills to engage with production, engineering, purchasing, and finance teams effectively.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in engineering change management, inventory disposition, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience in AX (Dynamics AX), Agile, and/or other business software.
