The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Assess patient nutritional status, develop and implement nutritional care plans and educate patients and family members in prescribed diets and nutritional information. The Clinical Dietitian serves a patient population covering pediatrics to geriatrics.
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS degree plus professional certification as a Registered Dietician (RD), or eligibility for registration within 6 months of hire.
  • Maintain the RDN credential in compliance with the CDR professional portfolio requirements, and if applicable, licensure requirement for state practice

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree
  • CNSC encouraged

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time
  • Day Shift

Essential Functions:

  • Provides diabetes education and nutritional counseling to patients individually and in group settings
  • Develops appropriate curriculums for the diabetes self management education program
  • Assures that the diabetes education program meets the American Diabetes Association standards
  • In conjunction with the Program Coordinator submits application for ADA certification
  • Documents assessment of all education needs, goals of care, and plans of care in electronic medical records
  • Responsible for entering appropriate charges in the hospital billing system
  • Assist program coordinator with marketing of the program as requested
