We are looking for aFront-end Developer to join our weather team to help us develop our online mapping and data analysis platform. Cultural Traits We're Looking For Articulate your ideas well in both spoken and written form Promote open and effective collaboration between people and teams Able to balance tactical and strategic decisions for overall mission success Understand the value of reducing procedural and technical complexity Feel strongly about technological and operational performance Value accurate measurements over opinions Have alignment with our core values: global, reliable, unbounded, faster, relentless, collaborative Comfortable with iterating and re-evaluating projects and plans as needs evolve Must Have Qualifications Fluent in JavaScript (React), HTML, CSS, and experience with the NodeJS ecosystem Track record developing high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented web applications following modern responsive design paradigms Experience integrating web applications with backend APIs (REST, OGC) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or 5+ years of relevant work experience Experience leveraging AI agents for day-to-day development activities Nice To Have Qualifications Have created large, multi-user single-page applications Familiarity with charting libraries such as SciChart, Bokeh, D3 or Highcharts Well versed in UI/UX best practices Experience creating and iterating on wireframes and mockups with product owners Experience in atmospheric or oceanographic environments, mapping, and/or cartography with Leaflet, Mapbox, OpenLayers, and/or Esri web tools Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office. Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required for this role. If needed, Spire will arrange the necessary licenses-this is not something candidates need to have before applying. #LI-RK1 The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Final base salary for this role will be based on the location, skills, experience and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for annual equity awards and our employee benefits program, including vacation, sick, and personal time off; optional medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; a 401(K) plan; health and wellness reimbursement program; and participation in Spire's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
