We are seeking an AEGIS Systems Specialist. Located on-site in Ventura, CA. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide direct support to the 24/7 Distance Support Watch team - maintain the watch. This includes maintaining situational awareness, conducting proper turnovers, ensuring accuracy of reports, customer service to the fleet, and pro-active engagement. The 24/7 Distance Support watch is the front-line for NSWC PHD Combat Systems Support. * Execute watch turnover, watch functions, and 24/7 Distance Support daily reports and responsibility checklists. * Monitor and respond to applicable chat rooms, Tech Team email accounts, and phone lines. Communicate with the appropriate SME or Branch Manager to assist with technical issues. * Monitor incoming CASREPs and requests for assistance in the SIPR AEGISTT folder. Generate email notifications for CAT 3 and CAT 4 CASREPs. * Generate and update trouble tickets. * Maintain excel Fleet Readiness Files and Combat Systems Fleet Readiness Charts by reviewing CASREPs, message traffic, Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) and Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS). Ensure CASREPs are correct and updated. * Read the Watch Orders of the 24/7 Team Lead. Watchstanders are assigned 12 hour watches and prepare documents in accordance with the 24/7 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Reports include turnover reports, trouble tickets assigned to responsible codes, RMC notification emails, and other notifications. * Assist the Fleet, PHD SMEs and RMCs with correcting systems casualties. * Execute requirements directed by the 24/7 Team Lead and Branch Manager, other duties may be assigned. * Work shifts are 12 hours per day/7 days then 7 days off; with advance notice days/shifts may be adjusted. Experience Requirements: Three years of experience working on board US Navy Ships performing corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic systems. Technical writing skills to maintain AEGIS documentation. Should possess excellent verbal communications skills and know how to orchestrate job tasks between multiple group organizations. Ability work independently and work with minimum supervision. Education Requirements: At least four (4) years of US Navy experience - combat systems. Security Clearance: Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
