Job Description
We are seeking a highly accomplished Strategic Financial Transformation Subject Matter Expert (SME) with CPA or CFA credentials and a strong background in federal financial management, internal controls, and technology-driven process transformation. This individual will advise on modernization strategy, tool selection, and automation approaches aligned with the initiative. Serve as a trusted advisor to support: Evaluation of current-state financial operations Selection of appropriate modernization tools Development of the transformation roadmap Transition planning from legacy manual processes to modernized, automated workflows. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Modernization Strategy & Tool Alignment Interpret and translate requirements to inform modernization tool selection
- Recommend fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with audit, accounting, and process requirements. Identify and evaluate gaps in current workflows, recommending automation solutions that support internal control frameworks
- Advisory Support to Transformation Planning Contribute to the development of the Transformation Roadmap by aligning modernization tools with strategic financial management goals
- Support the documentation of transition plans and change impact assessments to move from manual to digital processes
- Advise government leads on strategies to improve workflows, lifecycle management, and financial transaction integrity through automation
Qualifications
- BA/BS/BBA degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- CPA or Certificated Financial Account (CFA) certification
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in federal financial management, audit, and/or consulting
- Minimum of 5 years focused on financial modernization, automation, or transformation strategy in a federal or consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of federal internal control requirements (OMB Circular A-123), financial reporting standards (OMB Circular A-136), and audit remediation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting FHFA, Treasury, or financial regulatory bodies
- Familiarity with intelligent automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate), ServiceNow, and cloud financial environments
- Experience advising on system modernization strategy or automation roadmap development

The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
