6 MONTH CONTRACTOR ROLE

The creative group at Salesforce has an opening for an Art Director. Salesforce creatives combine high-level creativity, craftsmanship, strategic smarts, and business IQ to bring engaging concepts to life. Experienced thinkers and storytellers, our creatives collaborate in a multifaceted work environment to create remarkable work that inspires customers, attracts prospects, and delivers results.

Who you are

You have excellent design skills, a wealth of digital experience, and impressive conceptual abilities. You're fearless in trying new directions or techniques in order to create something new. You have your finger on the pulse of industry trends and best practices, and you're frequently sought out by other designers for input on their designs. You're both a sprinter and long-distance runner.

You'll concept everything from big campaign ideas and event experiences to cohesive design themes for email campaigns and what should go on a t-shirt. You'll design creative campaigns, e-books, email materials, social campaigns, websites, presentations and anything else our internal client or creative team at large needs. You'll also create immersive experiences for our world-class events, including NRF, Shoptalk, and Dreamforce, the biggest software conference in the world.

You must also be able to:

  • Create and inspire work that meets strategic marketing objectives and clear point of view that aligns to the Salesforce brand

  • Promote collaboration between the client and the creative department

  • Develop, produce, and lead well-thought-out presentations that tell the story of the design solution

  • Constantly push the envelope by promoting progressive thinking and innovation

  • Lead and coach junior creative staff through critique of their work to maintain quality and consistency

  • Understand the business and industry of our internal clients and external customers

  • Be able to work with external vendors/freelancers to provide clear creative direction and timely/helpful feedback to improve creative processes

  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short and long-term needs

Skills and experience:

  • 8+ years of advertising agency or design shop experience or with strong command of integrated marketing/advertising campaigns which includes digital (web, UI/UX, interactive, video) in addition to traditional advertising or design projects (print, OOH, events)

  • A compelling portfolio of original work that's both conceptual and results-driven.
    Retail customer work a bonus here.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to push the boundaries

  • Expert knowledge of the Figma.

  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Video editing and After Effects Animation is a plus

  • Knowledge of creative AI tools a plus as well

  • Knowledge of Keynote/Google slides required

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $127,200 to $174,900. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $138,800 to $190,900.
