Join Scripps as Infection Control Coordinator where you will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the infection surveillance, prevention and control program, promoting safe, effective infection control practices and for assuring facility infection control compliance with regulating agencies. Additional duties may include assisting with patient safety and risk management activities, performing investigational reviews, collecting performance improvement data, and reviewing clinical trial studies.

Qualifications

Experience/Specialized Skills:

* Minimum 3 years experience in microbiology, public health, epidemiology, sterile processing or high-level disinfection.

* Experience with adult education, basic statistics and epidemiological principles.

Required Education/Certification/Registration:

* Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required within 2 years of assuming position.

* Completion of a basic infection control training course required.

* Associates degree in nursing, microbiology, public health or biological sciences.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

* Bachelors degree in nursing, microbiology, public health or biological sciences.

* Experience with sterilization and high-level disinfection processes, preferred.

* Data collection, performance improvement/risk management.

* Experience working in a healthcare setting working with regulatory agencies. i.e. Joint Commission or AAAHC.

Minimum Rate (USD) : 57.65 - Maximum Rate (USD) : 83.74
