Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments following policies and procedures.
• Responsible and accountable for performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures and vaginal deliveries while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Contribute to expected patient outcomes
• Ability to follow through with on-call obligations (30-minute response time.)
• Assist with maintaining established departmental policies and quality improvement, safety and environmental infection control standards.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Tech program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Job Preferred Requirements:

• 1 year of Surgical Tech experience
• National Certified Surgical Technologist certification
