Collections Coordinator (Library Supervisor) Requisition ID: 2025-9437 # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Other Position Type: Benefited Full-Time Job Classification: Non-Exempt College: University Libraries Department: Library Collections & Discovery Advertised Salary: Minimum of $44,000, plus excelent benefits Overview Utah State University (USU) Libraries seeks a collaborative, innovative, and service-minded professional to coordinate the collection maintenance tasks for USU Libraries and supervise hourly staff in the Cataloging & Acquisitions program. The Collections Coordinator is responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, and overseeing the work of 2-4 hourly employees, performing copy cataloging of bibliographic and metadata records for all subjects and in a variety of formats, assisting in the management of the Merrill-Cazier Libraries' physical collections, and ordering supplies for the Cataloging & Acquisitions Program. Reporting to the Collections & Acquisitions Manager in the Cataloging and Acquisitions program, this position will work collaboratively with colleagues in the Merrill-Cazier Library as well as colleagues in partner libraries in Price, Blanding, and on the Logan campus. The successful applicant will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with support for professional growth and development. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with an anticipated start date of October 6, 2025. Responsibilities Hire, train, and supervise hourly staff, including setting standards and prioritizing projects Perform copy cataloging of bibliographic and metadata records for all subjects and in a variety of formats Coordinate the collection maintenance tasks at the direction of the Collections & Acquisitions Manager Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to track and process material needing binding Order supplies for the Cataloging & Acquisitions Program Serve on library committees related to role Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
