Summary:

Goldbelt Apex is excited to welcome an experienced and dedicated leader to support the G-4 Material Readiness Branch in enhancing Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) operations. This pivotal role will ensure equipment readiness and logistics support across 47 states and Puerto Rico, primarily benefiting the Inspector-Instructor Staff and Selected Marine Corps Reserve units.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assume the role of a key support to MARFORRES, specializing in CPAC.
    Their expertise will encompass fundamental aspects of CPAC, detailed strategies for
    Organizational and Field CPAC, and the practical implementation of CPAC. This role is pivotal in
    guiding MARFORRES through advanced methodologies and best practices in corrosion
    management to enhance overall operational integrity and longevity of assets.
  • Educate subordinate units about CPAC through over-the-shoulder training at using unit locations.
  • As required, provide on-site analysis/assistance to the using units within MARFORRES, which
    includes providing statistics and reports on their current status and instructions on correcting
    deficiencies as necessary.
  • Maintain continuous communication with MARFORRES, MSCs, and appropriate points of
    contact. The contractors will need to have a working relationship with personnel from
    MARFORRES and the Major Support Commands.
  • Participate in periodic internal and external meetings to facilitate training covering CPAC and
    equipment sustainment.
  • Provide independent analysis of the equipment sustainment processes within MARFORRES and
    provide analysis to appropriate organizations within the Force.
  • Assist in maintaining the CPAC database.
  • Request and maintain access to the DoD ISO Container Registry, Joint Container Management
    (JCM) site.
  • Provide tailored training and mentoring to MARFORRES units to ensure compliance with CPAC
    orders, directives, and policies to enhance equipment sustainability and readiness of the force.
  • Audit records as required, and conduct training as required via the "right seat left seat" concept.
  • Analyzing equipment for corrosion issues, prioritizing corrosion prevention and control in
    program planning, and developing strategies to mitigate corrosion in both newly fielded and
    existing equipment.
  • Record equipment corrosion conditions to establish the current state and drive future condition-based
    maintenance requirements.
  • Identify gaps, assess future needs, and refine strategies to address the evolving challenges in
    corrosion prevention and control, especially in harsh operating environments.
  • Engage CPAC customers for potential product identification.
  • Coordinate with units and MSCs to ensure CPAC nominations are identified, forwarded, and
    approved for service promptly.
  • As needed, assist the SMAT in assessing using unit Container Management programs by
    analyzing DoD ISO Containers' state of corrosion, ensuring serviceability as well as accountability
    within JCM.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience supporting Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) programs.
  • Proven experience using GCSS-MC (Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps) for supply and maintenance management.
  • Familiarity with relevant Marine Corps Orders:
    • MCO 4400.150
    • MCO P4400.172
    • MCO 4790.2
    • MCO P4790.21
    • MCO 4080.1
  • Experience conducting inventories, reconciliations, and corrective action planning.
  • Experience preparing for or conducting SMAT, Command Inspection Program (CIP), or similar audits.
  • Ability to deliver unit-level training, left-seat/right-seat mentorship, and document SOPs for supply staff.
  • Strong written and verbal skills for reports, briefings, and working with I&I staff and SMCR units.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of direct Marine Corps logistics, maintenance, and supply experience (Active Duty or Civilian).
  • Willingness to travel for site visits or surge support, if required.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Secret clearance or eligibility preferred (beneficial for full access/logs).
