Job Description Summary

The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a key role in protecting critical systems, identifying and mitigating risks, and helping shape the security posture of an enterprise environment. This role ensures the continuous protection of IT infrastructure, sensitive data, and digital assets by participating in cybersecurity operations, incident response, and threat detection.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments

  • Continuously monitor and analyze security events and incidents from various sources using industry standard security tools.

  • Proactively investigate, remediate, and mitigate identified security events, incidents, and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).

  • Partner with other technical and business teams to thoroughly investigate security events and ensure comprehensive documentation.

  • Accurately document all actions taken, remediation steps, and findings within our ITSM system to maintain a clear record of security activities.

  • Provide input to improve security tooling, detection logic, playbooks, and response procedures.

  • Escalate high-priority incidents and events to senior staff or relevant teams as needed to ensure timely resolution.

  • Experience with SIEM solutions and endpoint security tools.

  • Able to adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations and incident response, preferably in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.

  • Entry level candidates encouraged to apply.

  • Experience with security tools, including SIEM / SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, and cloud security solutions.

  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and attack models.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to write clear and detailed documentation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields preferred.

  • Relevant industry certifications (Security+ and similar) preferred.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $63,520.00 - 87,340.00

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following paid time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement):
