*100% Remote - Paralegal (6 month Contract - temp assignment) - $28 - $35/hr (based on experience) *
*Work enviroment: *100% remote (Must work PST hours) *Pay: *$28-35/hr (based on experience level) *Position Description:* We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Paralegal to support the Commercial Mortgage Loans group within the Investment Management affiliate of a leading Financial Services company headquartered in Bellevue, WA. This role will focus on reviewing legal entity formation documents and organizational charts related to borrowers in commercial mortgage transactions. The ideal candidate will have a paralegal experience in corporate law and document analysis. *Schedule:* Start time between 7am - 9am PST / Monday - Friday (30 - 40 hours a week based on work volume) *Temporary Contract:* 6 months *Key Responsibilities:* *Carefully analyzing submitted organizational charts to ensure they clearly reflect entity ownership structures, governing bodies, and management/control relationships. *Validating that each chart accurately identifies all relevant individuals and entities, including ultimate beneficial owners, general partners, managers, trustees, or authorized signers, as applicable based on entity type. *Applying a strong understanding of entity types (e.g., LLC, LP, corporation, trust, REIT, etc.) and their common governance models to ensure compliance with internal documentation standards. *Identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or red flags in organizational hierarchies and escalating for further review as needed. *Strictly following Symetra's internal guidelines and instructions for KYC and OFAC requirements, with an emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and completeness. *1. Organizational Chart Review* - Analyze borrower organizational charts to extract and verify key data elements such as legal name, state of domicile, and date of formation. - Identify missing or inconsistent information and maintain a tracking system for follow-up with internal or external stakeholders. *2. Legal Document Review:* - Review formation documents for LLCs, partnerships, corporations, and trusts to confirm: authorized signatories, stated entity purpose, proper execution and completeness - Flag and document any discrepancies or missing elements for resolution *3. Collaboration and Communication* - Work closely with internal legal, compliance, and investment teams to ensure documentation meets regulatory and internal standards. - Communicate with external parties as needed to resolve documentation gaps. *Skills* legal support, paralegal skills, legal documentation, compliance *Top Skills' Details* 1. Paralegal certification or equivalent experience in a legal support role 2. 2+ years of experience working with legal documentation in a corporate setting (MUST) 3. strong attention to detail 4.Compliance experience Experience using the secretary of the state as well as good standing certificates Experience with trusts *Qualifications:* - Paralegal certification or equivalent experience in a legal support role. - Familiarity with corporate entity structures and legal formation documents. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Experience working with trusts -Must sit out of one of these states: California, Washington, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, and Arizona -Must be able to work Pacific Standard time hours *Preferred Experience:* - Experience supporting commercial lending or mortgage transactions. - Prior work in a legal, financial services, or investment management environment. - Knowledge of trust and estate documentation is a plus. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
