CMaT is in Georgia Tech's thriving Biotechnology Complex, was launched in 1995, and has since grown to include 270+ faculty. IBB serves to catalyze new research and education initiatives at the interface of bioengineering and bioscience and to integrate the broad range of bio-related activities throughout Georgia Tech and its partner institutions.

The role is responsible for providing promotional and administrative services in support of assigned program(s) within a research center, academic unit, or other campus units of a school. These functions may encompass a variety of activities related to program success, including coordination of various programs within the unit. This position will interact on a consistent basis with research, academic, and administrative management and staff within a school or center and across campus, and vendors.

Job Duty 1 -
Perform duties related to professional field assignment.

Job Duty 2 -
Participate in reviews for compliance with policy and governmental regulations in the field.

Job Duty 3 -
Provide input to department policies and procedures.

May provide input to and administer project timelines and budgets.

Job Duty 5 -
May interact with vendors regarding procurement and delivery issues.

Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Coordinate administrative activities associated with program operations such as procurement, records maintenance, compliance, meeting arrangements and minutes, and document preparation.
Job Duty 2 - Coordinate compliance records for the annual report.
Job Duty 3 - Collaborate with internal and external entities to aid institutional or program support
Job Duty 4 - Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Position requires the ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre-screening; may require working competently with dangerous materials and in a dangerous environment, such as around or on rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and bot surfaces. In addition, it may require lifting heavy objects of up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (such as climbing extension ladder and other types of ladders; or using scaffolding) either inside or outside of a building. During adverse weather, activities may require extensive after hours work or callback. This job may require wearing a full-face respirator in accordance with Georgia Tech campus policies and procedures. This job will require some evening hours and hours during peak times, as well as being a part of an on-duty rotation.

Required Experience
Up to two years of job related experience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an academic research environment.
  • Strong attention to details, customer service, project management, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365.
  • Five (5) years of experience.
Proposed Salary

The salary range is between $23.02 - $27.16 per hour. Salary will commensurate with experience and education. This role is dependent on sponsored research. All employment and assignments are ultimately contingent upon funding.
