Occ Summary

Level I: Provide overall administrative directio n andoversight forpolicies, procedures and programs of a single-specialt y ambulatoryclinic/practice at a single site with visit volumes less tha n 30,000annually.Level II: Provide overall administrative direction and oversight forpolicies, procedures and programs of a large, complex, mul ti-disciplineambulatory clinic/practice at: a single site with visit vo lumesof atleast 30,000 annually OR two smaller, single-specialty sites.L evelIII: Provide overall administrative direction and oversight forpoli cies, procedures and programs of multiple ambulatoryclinics/practices at :two or more multi-disciplinary sites OR three ormore single-specialty s ites.



Work Performed

Level IProvide administrative di rection and coordination in the formulation,interpretation and administr ation of current and long range policies,procedures and programs of a si ngle-specialty ambulatory clinic/practiceat a single site. Establish sc hedules, task assignments and allocationof manpower, space and equipment toensure conformance with departmentalcommitments. Determine fiscal req uirements, make projections andprepare the budget; monitor, verify andre concile expenditure ofbudgeted funds; prepare financial statements refle cting status ofprograms and activities; ensure compliance with Universit ypolicies andprocedures. Maintain liaison with all levels of administra tion,physicians and outside organizations to coordinate clinic/practiceb usiness, accomplish directives and to facilitate the resolutionofproblem s. Direct the compilation of and/or prepare operational andfinancial re ports and analyses setting forthprogress, adverse trendsand appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Develop operatingpolicies and procedure s for the Health Center; conduct meetings withsubordinates to ensure com pliance with established practices; implementnew policies and keepemploy ees abreast of current changes andstandards. Represent the assigned Hea ulatory clinicaloperations. Assume accountability for achievementof bal lth Center in meetings,conferences and maintenance activities within amb anced scorecardtargets. Direct and coordinate various personnel function s including,but not limited to: hiring, performance appraisals, promotio ns,transfers and vacation schedules. Perform other related dutiesincide ntal tothe work described herein.Level II assumes the same typesof dutie s, but with responsibility for alarge, complex, multi-discipline ambulat ory clinic/practice at a singlesite.Level III assumes the sametypes ofdu ties, but with responsibility formultiple ambulatory clinics/practicesat two or more sites. Will alsoserve as a preceptor and/or mentor forothe r HCAs and managers.Perform other related duties incidentalto the work d escribed herein.
