Position Summary

Provide leadership to the Operations team with full responsibility and accountability for the successful delivery of all projects, spanning programs, products, and initiatives. Oversee project performance and profitability, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery in alignment with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Act as the central resource in managing project supply chain, procurement, fabrication, productivity, design compliance, quality control, and testing throughout the entire project lifecycle from turnover to customer acceptance. Lead the development of personnel, processes, and procedures that drive operational excellence.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and develop a high-performing Operations team.

  • Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide direction and oversight in developing operational processes, procedures, and best practices.

  • Implement project management programs including policies, practices, procedures, systems, and documentation.

  • Provides management of project accounting, project cost and trend reports, work-in-progress, productivity reporting, and monthly forecasts in conjunction with the business unit leadership.

  • Review and monitor the project management team preparation and set up of budgets, billings, and change orders.

  • Manages and coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Coordinate timely completion of procurement procedures in conjunction with the purchasing team.

  • Coordinate ordering, processing, and delivery of materials and equipment with vendors and central procurement personnel.

  • Responsible for initiating, overseeing, and verifying billings to maintain over-billed and over-cash positions.

  • Ensure turnover and pre-production planning meetings are conducted.

  • Ensure prompt review and processing of purchase orders, contracts and subcontract agreements.

  • Maintain exceptional owner, customer, engineer and vendor relationships.

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to provide technical support and accurate budget reviews.

  • Interface with CAD/VDC personnel to ensure design coordination meets project needs.

  • Support strategic production and resource planning with operations and production leadership.

  • Manage projects through multi-discipline shop fabrication process.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and process effectiveness.

  • Support company strategy by guiding cross-functional efforts that align with organizational goals.

  • Negotiate complex and high-impact issues with senior leadership.

  • Make data-driven, authoritative decisions that significantly influence business outcomes.

  • Demonstrate innovation, foresight, and sound judgment in leading key programs and operations.

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Operations Management, Project Management or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

  • 10+ years of manufacturing management operations experience, with 5+ years in a supervisory role.

  • Experience with industry standard tools, ERP and project management systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Bluebeam, CAD/VDC).
