Process Engineer

The Process Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine systems engineering and configuration management processes, procedures, and methodologies

• Create process documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training material

• Analyze current state processes and identify improvement opportunities

• Design future state process maps and implementation roadmaps

• Facilitate process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities

• Create metrics and reporting frameworks

• Conduct process audits and compliance assessments

The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Be detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
• Have effective communication and presentation skills

Education and Experience:

• Must have 3, or more, years of experience in process engineering, or related field
• Must have experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Must have experience with process modeling tools
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Have a Bachelor's degree any STEM related field
• Have a Process Improvement certification (Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain the required level of clearance by date of hire.
• Must be able to travel, including air travel.
