As a Partner Solutions Engineer for the Snowflake SAP partnership, you will play a pivotal role in one of our most strategic lighthouse collaborations, bringing together the world's most trusted application platform with the AI Data Cloud. This partnership opens up entirely new possibilities for how SAP and Snowflake interoperate, enabling enterprises to unlock AI-powered and agentic workflows end to end. You will leverage deep expertise in the SAP landscape, especially S/4HANA, ECC, BW, with Datasphere and HANA as a strong plus, to design solutions that fuse SAP's business process intelligence with Snowflake's scalable data platform.

Beyond SAP familiarity, you should bring strong data architecture skills, hands-on experience with cloud data integration patterns, and the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders during the Pre-sales. Your mission is to create the magic of SAP and Snowflake together, delivering secure, governed, and AI-ready data that transforms how enterprises operate.

You will collaborate closely with a high-performing team to construct a modern, enterprise-grade data platform as part fo the Pre-sales engagement. A crucial aspect of your role will be to ensure that platform-level design decisions align with SAP & Snowflake enterprise strategy, thereby facilitating seamless integration between SAP and Snowflake. You will also engage with technical, functional, and business teams to design optimal data flows, and frameworks that support SAP BDC processes and accelerate digital transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS PART OF PRE-SALES:
  • Customer Success - Platform & Architecture

    • Drive customer success by leading, designing, and implementing scalable data models in SAP BDC, integrating them with Snowflake to drive business outcomes and consumption. This includes configuring SAP source systems and activating standard data products in BDC for consumption by the Snowflake AI Data Cloud platform.

    • Extend CDS views in S/4HANA systems to activate custom objects in BDC

    • Provide expert guidance on SAP BW/HANA to modern platform architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.

    • Act as a subject matter expert and expert and demonstrate deep knowledge of relevant T-codes, business processes, tables, and views.

  • Data Integration - SAP + Snowflake

    • Enable BDC by integrating and harmonizing data across diverse platforms. Define target and transition architectures for both SAP and non-SAP data domains, integrating with Snowflake,

    • Ensure data platform alignment with architectural principles in authentication protocols, access control, and security mechanisms

    • Design and validate data flows, lineage, and integration points between legacy systems, SAP S/4HANA, and cloud-based platforms.

    • Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines and workflows between Snowflake & SAP platforms

  • Collaboration & Mentorship

    • Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for migration strategies, and integration patterns.

    • Conduct customer workshops and training sessions for both internal and external stakeholders and technical teams.

    • Provide training, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to Snowflake team members and stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 20+ years of experience in SAP BW, BW on HANA, and SAP Datasphere.

  • Fluency in authentication protocols, access control, and security mechanisms.

  • Strong understanding of SAP functional modules/areas and their underlying data structures.

  • Proficiency in SAP T-codes, business processes, and backend tables/views.

  • Ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Strong background in enterprise data architecture and SAP data management (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, MDG, BW/4HANA).

  • Proficiency in data modeling, data governance, and metadata management.

  • Experience designing and governing large-scale data migration and transformation initiatives.

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strong expertise in Scala, Python, or SQL and reading ABAP

  • Experience designing and developing large-scale ETL pipelines and batch/streaming data workflows.

  • Familiarity with cloud ecosystems, particularly Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Knowledge of data architecture, governance, and security practices on cloud data platforms.

  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with SAP, data architecture, and delivery teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • SAP Datasphere certification.

  • Experience with Snowflake or other leading cloud data platforms.

  • Exposure to SAP BTP and integration with non-SAP systems.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $162,000 - $208,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
