Director, Financial Planning

Job Description:

The Director of FP&A will be a key leader within the Finance organization, responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, driving forecasting accuracy, enhancing financial models, and partnering with business intelligence on system requirements and business leaders on providing strategic insights. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, deep SaaS business model expertise, and the ability to drive the budgeting and forecasting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of FP&A professionals.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
    • Enhance and maintain the company long-range plan along with driving the annual operating plan process and project management.
    • Partner with business units to align financial targets with company strategy.
    • Ensure forecasts and budgets are accurate, timely, and actionable.
  • Business Performance & Decision Support
    • Provide monthly and quarterly business performance reporting to executive leadership and Board of Directors.
    • Ownership of billings forecasting model and cash flow forecasting
    • Lender reporting and strong understanding of credit agreements
    • Support M&A evaluation, integration planning, and capital allocation decisions.
    • Drive scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA a plus.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related fields, with at least 3+ years leading teams.
  • Experience in a SaaS / subscription-based business model required.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and key financial levers.
  • Proven track record of driving financial planning processes at scale ($100M+ revenue preferred).
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and ability to influence cross-functionally.
