Position Overview:
The Maintenance Project Coordinator reports to the Maintenance Manager, and supports the maintenance organization by coordinating, and tracking maintenance-related projects and initiatives at the facility. This role is accountable for the safe and smooth allocation of resources that are scheduled to be completed. This work includes all planned outages, internal projects, and capital projects. This role will ensure minimal disruption to production processes while maximizing the efficiency and clarity of the planning, documentation, and after-action phases of any scheduled project. In addition to these coordination efforts this role will serve to champion a mindset of continual improvement using their experience to mentor others across the team as well as directly driving efficiency of execution where possible.

Responsibilities:



  • Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and track maintenance projects, including shutdowns, upgrades, and equipment installations
  • Develop project schedules, resource plans, and budgets in collaboration with planners, supervisors, and vendors
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, identifying and resolving issues proactively
  • Maintain documentation for all projects including scope, timelines, costs, and post-project evaluations
  • Support CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data integrity and reporting
  • Collaborate with procurement and storeroom teams to ensure timely availability of parts and materials
  • Assist in contractor management, including onboarding, safety compliance, and performance tracking
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes and asset reliability
  • Manage/coordinate key contractors engaged in work across the facility

    • Ensure any Contractor on site has completed all prerequisites to working with Gopher Resource
    • Ensure Contractors are operating safely
    • Ensure Contractors have clear scope, and the tools needed to complete the work

          Requirements:



          • High School Diploma or GED minimally required
          • 3+ years of previous work experience in maintenance coordination, planning, or project management
          • Strong understanding of maintenance workflows, CMMS systems, and reliability principles
          • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Teams
          • Technical proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project
          • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
          • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and adaptable, and change priorities and direction as needed, allowing for optimum effectiveness
          • Proficient math skills and communication in English (including reading & writing)
          • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
          • Highly self-motivated and directed, ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during high-stress situations, manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently, attend to details, and meet deadlines
          • Proven leadership skills to champion change in a highly dynamic environment
          • Ability to work across departments and partner with all levels within the organization



                  Preferred Qualifications:



                  • Postsecondary degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field from an accredited school preferred, but not required


                  Physical Requirements:



                  • Willingness and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, and hearing protection) with or without reasonable accommodation
                  • Willingness and ability to wear respiratory protection directly against skin (i.e. clean shaven if applicable) with or without reasonable accommodation
                  • Willingness and ability to be able to move about the plant, including climbing a flight of stairs, with or without reasonable accommodation
                  • Willingness and ability to work in a hot production area wearing protective clothing with or without reasonable accommodation



                  Compensation Information:
                  Salary Range: $85,077 to $135,898. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive plan which is determined by the achievement of strategic objectives. The market rate for the role is typically at the midpoint of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as candidate qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
