You'll not only handle the design and maintenance of our current enterprise products but also play a key role in integrating them with our new cloud-native back office for financial institutions that will empower and delight by focusing on user-centric design principles.

This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remotely from any US location. The targeted salary range for this position is $79-130,000 depending on skills, experience, and location.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Collaborates with product management, business analysts, and engineers to understand and establish user requirements.
  • Turns high level product requirements into workflows and designs.
  • Creates clean, intuitive, and responsive interfaces with reusable design patterns that follow our design principles.
  • Creates prototypes for testing and analysis to ensure UX and technical business needs are met.
  • Rapidly iterates on design solutions based on feedback and technical needs.
  • Creates detailed specifications to guide development teams.
  • Ensures products meet high standards of usability and design excellence.
  • Confidently communicates the rationale of design decisions.
  • Remains current on UI/UX trends and technology including AI and LLMs.
  • Approaches design from a humble perspective that places a high level of importance on user empathy.
  • Communicates effectively across small, interdisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • A minimum of 4 years professional experience in UX and UI design with an emphasis on product design.
  • Portfolio demonstrating expertise in both UX/UI and visual design.
  • To be considered, you must include a portfolio link in your resume or submit a combined resume and portfolio as a single PDF.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Figma for design and prototyping.
  • Knowledge of best practices and design patterns for Enterprise web applications.
  • Research-based mindset for problem solving.
  • An inclination towards big-picture, generative thinking.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and constraints while designing thoughtful and detail-oriented solutions.
