Summary:



The HR Coordinator position organizes, coordinates, and executes a variety of human resource department duties, projects, and processes while working directly with and assisting the HR Manager to fulfill essential HR functions. This role encompasses all onboarding, training, and company education procedures for new and existing employees and serves as a key support function for HR operations in the Food Division of the organization.



Responsibilities included but not limited to:



Recruitment and Hiring Support



  • Support the full cycle recruitment and hiring process, by sourcing, requesting background checks, and assisting in shortlisting qualified applicants
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, and HR events while maintaining the team's agenda
  • Coordinate with hiring managers throughout the selection process



Employee Onboarding and Training



  • Perform employee orientations and assist new hires with comprehensive onboarding processes
  • Update and maintain records of new hires in company systems
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars for employees
  • Ensure completion of all required onboarding documentation and procedures
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during their first weeks, addressing questions and providing guidance.



HR Operations and Communication



  • Respond to and assist with internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests
  • Liaise effectively with other departments and functions including payroll and benefits
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and coordinating meetings.



Compliance and Documentation



  • Support with I-9 verification processes and reporting requirements
  • Provide employee documents to Risk and Legal departments as requested
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records and HR documentation
  • Support compliance with employment regulations and company policies



Employee Recognition and Engagement



  • Support Service Anniversary Awards Program
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, including collection of employee feedback
  • Coordinate employee-related events and recognition initiatives



Additional Duties



  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager
  • Support special projects and initiatives as determined by department needs



Required Qualifications:



Technical Skills



  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and charts
  • Ability to learn and utilize HR information systems and databases

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred, Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required


  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant HR experience required
  • Knowledge of human resources operations and best practices



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • 100% Office-based
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
