POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the procedures and processes that ensure the accurate receipt, custody, control and issuance of warehouse inventory items. Optimize the inventory levels to assure the timely availability of warehouse inventory items when needed without excess inventory. Work closely with the Maintenance, Accounting, and Purchasing departments to assure the smooth and accurate flow of inventory and information. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
- Ensure CMMS software data files are complete and current.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to develop and maintain procedures and processes that ensure the accurate receipt, custody, control and issuance of warehouse inventory items.
- Assist the purchasing function in the procurement of parts to perform needed repairs and maintenance, in both planned and emergency scenarios.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to optimize the inventory levels to assure the timely availability of parts without excess inventory.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Accounting and Purchasing departments to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of inventory and information.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner in preparing and kitting parts for planned maintenance work.
- Continuously evaluate the operation of the warehouse function and make recommendations for improvement.
- Direct monthly physical inventory of all warehouse items and make adjustments to inventory records as required.
- Insure and maintain a safe, clean and organized environment for all warehouse and storage areas, and their contents, including outdoor laydown areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Warehouse / Inventory operations knowledge.
- Strong record of attendance reliability.
- Must know, understand and observe all department and plant safety rules and maintain a high level of housekeeping in assigned work areas.
- Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Access all areas within the warehouse including heights of 20 feet and climbing ladders or stairs.
- Will be working in both an office environment and in a plant environment.
- The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
- The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
- Ability to occasionally lift/carry 47 lbs.
- Ability to pull a maximum force of 15 ft/lbs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Technical training or AA degree in technical related field or equivalent work experience in the field is required.
PREFFERED EDUCATION:
- BS degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Control or technical related field is preferred.
- Technical training and/ or degree in technical-related field or equivalent work experience in the field
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 1 years' experience with inventory management, warehouse management and/or parts procurement. Experience operating mobile equipment.
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:
- 3 - 5 years' experience with inventory management, warehouse management and/or parts procurement. Previous maintenance experience and knowledge of rotating equipment in an industrial setting.
- CMMS experience, SAP is a plus
