Overview
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Capacity Planning & Lifecycle Mgmt Analyst. Primary Function: The Capacity Planning and Lifecycle Management Analyst is a critical member of the Enterprise Architecture team, supporting the SVP of Enterprise Architecture in designing, implementing, and optimizing technology infrastructure and application portfolios across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring that enterprise systems are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective, with a focus on both current operational needs and future growth. The analyst will play a vital part in developing strategies for resource allocation, capacity forecasting, lifecycle optimization, and technology refresh cycles to maximize business value and minimize risk.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current and projected workloads across IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to determine capacity requirements.
- Develop models and forecasts to anticipate growth in business demand, identifying potential bottlenecks before they impact operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT Operations, Application Owners, Infrastructure, and Business Units) to capture requirements, usage patterns, and strategic direction.
- Recommend and justify infrastructure investments, scaling strategies, and resource allocations to support organizational objectives
- Utilize data-driven analysis and industry benchmarks to propose improvements in resource utilization, performance, and reliability.
- Monitor and manage the lifecycle of enterprise assets (hardware, software, platforms, and services), ensuring timely upgrades, replacements, and retirements.
- Maintain lifecycle roadmaps for major applications and infrastructure components and communicate upcoming changes to relevant stakeholders
- Assess the technical debt, end-of-life risks, and obsolescence issues, developing mitigation plans in alignment with business priorities.
- Establish processes and controls to track the status of assets, licenses, warranties, and contracts related to enterprise technology.
- Facilitate the transition or decommissioning of legacy systems, minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and recommendations on capacity, utilization, lifecycle status, and risks to executive leadership and technical teams.
- Champion initiatives that enhance system scalability, performance, and agility, supporting the organization's digital transformation goals.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
