SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Marketing, the Vice President, Franchise Marketing will lead the Franchise Marketing Team for CABOMETYX and is accountable for: digital, omnichannel, marketing-driven artificial intelligence (AI) exploration, access, patient and advanced practitioner marketing, brand strategic and tactical planning, conference planning oversight, marketing communications and operations, and oversight of quarterly business reviews. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages direct reports who in turn manage the Digital, Omnichannel, AI, Access, Patient/APP, Strategic Accounts, Franchise Strategy and Operations, and Conference Planning teams.
- Responsible for 3-year strategic brand plan and annual tactical planning processes
- Accountable for the brand's digital marketing strategic plan and tactical execution across audiences
- Oversee, through direct reports, the brand's omnichannel & AI marketing strategy, operational effectiveness, and coordination of tactical inputs with in-line brand promotional leads.
- Oversee the execution of annual conference planning & coordination with core marketing and sales partners.
- Accountable for the brand's strategic plan and annual tactical plan execution for the following groups: patient marketing, advanced practitioner, and access marketing.
- Ensures that the GPO strategic and tactical plan aligns with the overarching brand strategic plan.
- Communicates and ensures organizational alignment to brand strategic plan.
- Ensures financial oversight, brand is operating within budget and routinely provides updates throughout the calendar year
- Supports the brand by conducting periodic, deep-dive market assessments (including metrics measurement for all areas of accountability listed above and coordination of marketing mix analyses in collaboration with Commercial Strategy Analytics & Operations CSAO).
- Collaborates with CSAO to optimize market research effecting brand strategy and impact analyses.
- Manages the aggregate brand budget during review cycles and supports necessary ROI analysis.
- Engages with key customers and accounts to ensure understanding of in-line business dynamics and to optimize channel mix decision making & tactical effectiveness.
- Oversee, through direct reports, the coordination of quarterly business review planning and process.
- Leads and oversees operational functions, including, but not limited to contract processing, pan-tumor leadership coordination, talent review cycle planning, commercial calendar coordination, strategic evaluation processes to determine AI and Omnichannel approach and implementation (in close collaboration with Information Technology IT), and select marketing team communications
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern Exelixis conduct.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly manages subordinate managers and individual contributors
- Indirectly manages employees through a dotted line structure or via other subordinate supervisors
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Education:
- BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least 21 years of related experience; or
- Master's degree in related discipline and 19 years of related experience; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- Pharmaceutical marketing and/or strategic consulting experience
- Leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Sales, sales management, and managed care experiences are strongly preferred
- Oncology experience is strongly preferred
- Multi-channel or Omnichannel experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to develop sound strategic concepts and clearly articulate these to brand and cross-functional team members
- Cross-functional leadership with the ability to build consensus and drive critical decisions
- High level of learning agility; comprehends all aspects of the marketplace that affect current and future brand performance (e.g. coverage, distribution, sales incentives, regulatory, and finance)
- Effective presentation and written communication skills
- Understanding of FDA Regulations of pharmaceutical drug promotions and experience with Legal, Medical and Regulatory review processes
- Knowledge of reimbursement mechanisms for both injectable and specialty oral medications
- Knowledge of managed care environment, including pharmacy and medical benefit design
- Knowledge of access related items such as sample & voucher programs
- Project management skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this positionis $351,000 - $408,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.
