What does a Manager- Leaves Administration do at Swire Coca-Cola? Leads and manages our leave of absence and reasonable accommodation programs and team. Oversees the coordination and administration of federal, state, and company leave and accommodation policies, including FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, and state-specific leave and accommodation laws in complex jurisdictions such as Colorado, Washington and Oregon. Ensures compliance, provide expert guidance, and deliver seamless employee experience throughout the leave and accommodation lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination and administration and compliance of all leave programs including FMLA, STD, LTD and company policy related leaves, and state-specific leaves.
- Lead the coordination and administration and compliance of all accommodation programs including ADA, religion, pregnancy, and other similar state and federal-specific leaves.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on federal and state leave laws, staying current with legislative changes and ensuring policy alignment.
- Manage end-to-end leave processes, including coordination with third party administrator, intake, eligibility determination, documentation, tracking, and return-to-work coordination.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Legal, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure consistent and compliant leave practices.
- Provide coaching and support to managers and employees regarding leave options, accommodations, and related policies.
- Oversee vendor relationships for outsourced leave administration ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Develop and deliver training and resources for HR and management on leave policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for audits, metrics, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field) or equivalent experience required
- 4+ years Excellent understanding and proven experience managing leave programs in complex states (e.g., WA, OR, CO) required
- 6+ years leave administration, with deep knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, required
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification required
- Driven to turn complex programs and processes into smooth, compliant employee experiences required
- Excellent understanding and proven experience managing leave programs in complex states (e.g., WA, OR, CO) required
- Strong understanding of the accommodation processes under the ADA and interactive dialogue requirements. required
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and risk mitigation strategies. required
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. required
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. required
- Experience with HRIS and leave management systems (e.g., Dayforce, Dovetail case management, Telus Health) required
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) required
- Familiarity with accommodation processes under the ADA and interactive dialogue requirements.
