The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Peer to Peer Support Group Facilitator at our partner organization Friends on Aine in Manchester, NH. Facilitators lead small peer-to-peer groups and explore topics to learn grief coping strategies. Groups include grieving children, teens, and adult caregivers.

Job Responsibilites:

  • Lead small peer-to-peer groups and explore topics to learn grief coping strategies.
  • Listen and reflect with group members.
  • Manage craft/art/game activities for group members during group.
  • Guide discussions when conflict arises.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Work study part of financial aid package
  • Students with work study may be prioritized
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must enjoy working with children and wish to contribute to our mission of creating a world where no child grieves alone

Work Schedule: 5:30 - 8pm, one night / wk

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
