They design and refine software applications, ensuring integration with existing architectural paradigms while also developing network systems and infrastructure to support business needs. IT/OT personnel manage the organization's IT/OT landscape, guaranteeing the reliable operation of servers, databases, and other components of the technology ecosystem. By maintaining a secure and robust IT/OT infrastructure, they uphold the integrity and confidentiality of data while facilitating connectivity and accessibility. Information Technology / Operations Technology personnel continually adapt to technological advancements, ensuring the organization stays at the forefront of emerging IT/OT trends and is well-equipped to meet future challenges while maintaining secure and stable operations.

Discipline Description

Software Engineers design, develop, and maintain software solutions by engaging in the complete development lifecycle. They collaborate with customers to capture requirements, aligning them with business goals and architectural guidelines. Using various programming languages, they craft secure and efficient code, often incorporating third-party resources to extend functionality. These experts are committed to continual system improvement and adoption of new technologies to meet changing business demands. They also prioritize security, constantly updating systems to address emerging threats. Additionally, Software Engineers specify and evaluate vendor capabilities to provide applications or services, and configure, implement, and maintain software applications. They conduct a wide range of tests and analyses to ensure software meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirements and ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

SRNS Operational Technology (OT) is seeking to hire a Software Project Management Lead to work within SRS facilities.

Operational Technology at SRS is the organization that develops and maintains Operations-facing (manufacturing) hardware and software solutions.

Projects are managed using a variety of methodologies, depending on the effort, including Agile, Predictive (traditional), and Hybrid project management. Success in this position will require a candidate that is comfortable in working in all three environments, as appropriate.

Core responsibilities of this position include:
* Developing and managing project estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution performance.
* Coordinating development sprint planning to integrate with overarching project schedules.
* Supporting software engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are achieved.
* Developing and presenting project review briefings.
* Developing presentations and demonstrations for senior leadership and customers.
* Monitoring and managing the financial baseline of the project.
* Identifying and managing business and technical risk and opportunities for the project.
* Establishing and maintaining clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team and project stakeholders.
* Engaging as a professional who leads teams of Software Projects, defines and decides objectives related to the project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective.
* Coordinating with customer project controls, engineering, installation, operations, and other support organizations.

Key capabilities required include:
* Excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
* Ability to team with customers and other stakeholders when developing and executing new efforts.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Understanding of business resources, priorities, and policies as they apply to project activities.
* Ability to interact frequently with team leaders, customers, and other peer managers. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
* Proactive communication and coordination with stakeholders and the project team.
* Ability to explain software development challenges to non-IT personnel.
* Organizational ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science plus at least fifteen years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least twelve years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE)
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

* Experience working with a manufacturing or industrial organization.
* Certifications as Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4, or equivalent.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications.
