Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. You will also play a key role in improving processes and supporting the accounting team in maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Prepare workpapers during annual audits.
• Prepare monthly sales tax reports and filings.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency within accounting operations.
• Provide support and mentorship to accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
• Minimum 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in general accounting.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations).
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
