Job # PRP25411 Job Title Lead Financial Analyst Office Location Katy, TX Business Function/Department Power Electronics Systems/Finance Sales Territory, if applicable N/A General Role Description Provide financial, tax and business analysis for an international manufacturing operation; lead the accounts payable and accounts receivable team to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. Role Accountabilities - Allocate and coordinate resources effectively to ensure seamless AP/AR operations - Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Manage and resolve escalated issues from vendors and clients related to AP/AR, ensuring timely and effective communication and resolution - Execute OSM forecasting and budget planning within financial modeling tools, performing comparative analysis to actuals each month - Coordinate headcount forecasting within financial modeling tools, performing comparative analysis to actuals each month - Perform accurate and timely completion of the monthly and annual financial closing processes for the areas assigned - Perform month-end closing of the projects, purchasing, and inventory modules - Perform variance analysis of and account reconciliation for assigned General Ledger (GL), taking corrective action, as necessary, to adjust the GL based on the analysis - Validate the accuracy of project cost accounting and provide analysis on contribution margin (CM) to the assigned business units - Analyze failure trends in the ERP modules and other system tools assigned to this role, reporting to IT or escalating to immediate manager as necessary - Consolidate monthly results - Ensure accurate and timely closing of work orders and customer billing in coordination with appropriate personnel - Generate data and reports for the monthly management reporting package, as assigned - Review warranty and concession reserves/costs as assigned and report major variances to the immediate manager - Conduct and document complex financial analysis - Perform analysis of and account reconciliation for high volume/value GL accounts - Perform variance analysis for major expense accounts - Coach associates in specific areas of complex transactions and in complex aspects of financial analysis General Employee Accountabilities - Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager - Give manager best advice - Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified - Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager - Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment - Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws - Recommend viable improvements proactively - Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Minimum Qualifications - BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent via education and/or work experience - 6 years' financial analysis experience - 8 years' total experience of accounting or finance professional level work - Demonstrated knowledge of financial aspects in a manufacturing environment - Proficiency in financial module of ERP system - Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills - Demonstrated success developing, implementing, measuring and improving effective systems in functional areas - Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory guidelines and their impact on business processes - Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility - Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts - Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills - Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook - Availability to travel domestically less than 5% Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a business with foreign ownership, preferably Japanese - Experience in a business which measures results principally by project and levels of overall support costs - Proficiency in the financial module of Oracle ERP system - Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory guidelines and their impact on business processes - CPA or CMA Link to TMEIC Corporation Americas website: https://www.tmeic.com/.
