Come be part of a team that strives to be the best, wins together, and is passionate about pets! Central Pet Distribution, a division of Central Pet & Garden Co. is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant/Logistics Coordinator on the Evening Shift at our facility in Vandalia, OH.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for tasks in relation to picking customer orders utilizing RF scanner to select, clean, pack and palletize food and accessory pet products. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below.

SHIFT DETAILS
Evening Shift: Monday thru Friday, 5:00pm - 1:30am

STARTING WAGES
Evening Shift: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, plus shift premium

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sort drivers paperwork and print/reprint invoices from SAP.

  • Will assist with other clerical and warehouse duties as needed.

  • Employees are expected to be able to perform all aspects of job as described below.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
    2. Basic clerical skills including typing. 10-key for data entry and filing.
    3. 1 year of previous clerical experience.
    4. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
    5. Strong interpersonal skills and able to work with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner
    6. Must be well organized, and able to prioritize and able to handle multiple tasks.
    7. Flexible and able to adapt to a changing work environment. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
    8. Able to use and operate general office equipment including 10-key calculator, copy machine, fax machine, printer and phone.
    9. Knowledge and experience in using computers and programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and Lotus Notes.
    10. Able to work at a computer and sit for extended periods of time (3-4 hours). Position also requires frequent walking due to interaction with all departments and employees.
    11. Excellent attention to detail and focus is a must to ensure accuracy and quality
    12. Able to abide by all company policies and procedures.
    13. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
    15.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
    14. Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure

    QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
    • Previous distribution and/or inventory experience is preferred.
    • Post High School education preferred.


WORKING CONDITIONS
  • The warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust.
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).
