Resumen

The Senior Accountant will be part of the Corporate Accounting team. This role will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and other financial activities within the organization. A key cog in the monthly close process, this teammate will need to have strong financial analysis skills to prepare financial reports and generate and interpret financial records & statements for management. Additionally, with the international growth of the company, there will be opportunities to support the global consolidation process. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible with leveraging previous experience and technical accounting skills to improve the current processes in place.


Responsabilidades


    Review and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Perform monthly responsibilities including journal entries, reconciliations and financial schedules.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and the setup of processes and procedures within the accounting department
  • Research technical accounting topics. Support the global consolidation process. Prepare or update accounting policies and memos. Assist with integration of acquisitions into AIT's accounting processes and systems.
  • Ensure activities are in compliance with company accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Look to continuously improve existing processes. Responds to inquiries from management, auditors and other internal customers as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Calificaciones

Education
* Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (Required)

Experience
* 5+ years experience in accounting or audit department for a mid to large size company or audit firm. (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Self-motivated and a critical thinker. High

* Strong analytical and quantitative skills. High

* Contribute to a collaborative and friendly culture with a positive attitude and a professional demeanor. High

* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel. High

* Researching technical accounting topics a plus. Medium

* Audit experience a plus. Medium

* CargoWise or OneStream experience a plus. Low

Licenses and Certifications

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - (Preferred)
