Summary
Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets accurately and without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to established procedures. Maintains Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to the supervisor.
