LOCATION: Columbia, MD

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: TS, SCI Eligible

TRAVEL: As Needed

Astrion, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Systems Engineering Group (SEG), has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager located at our facility in Columbia, MD. This position supports our prime contract with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in performing Threat Engineering. SEG has worked extensively with the U.S. Navy and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of our clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Business Administration (BBA) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.
  • 15 years of experience managing scientific or engineering projects
  • 10 years of experience related to threat engineering, threat characterizations, missile system design and development, or highly complex six degrees of freedom (6DoF) simulation development and integration.
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • A Master's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with management of tactical and strategic communications, and development of high-quality work products
  • Project Management knowledge is a prerequisite for this role along with direct supervisory experience of at least 20 personnel.
  • Experience working with executives and senior management required.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management role with oversight of multiple task orders with unique Plan Of Actions and Milestones (POAM) requirements.
    • Responsible for all Project Management activities, including overall assignment of work, management of personnel, quality control, customer satisfaction, and performance tracking and reporting.
    • Responsible for management of resources, risk management, contract management reporting, and management of task order leads.
    • Responsible for annual performance reviews and employee development.
    • Ensures that projects are fully controlled, that goals and objectives are set, responsibility is assigned, and results are documented.
    • Interfaces with Government customers, Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs), and other agency representatives.
    • Participates in projects from the planning stage, provides additional or missing materials, and edits, organizes, and formats content for clarity, flow, and integrity.
    • Develops and finalizes external and high-visibility work, while ensuring high quality deliverables are completed on time and with customer satisfaction.
    • Responsible for assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work.
    • Disseminates policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
    • Develops and analyzes monthly reports.
    • Manages the schedule and budget, along with task order period of performance.
    • Some travel may be required.
    • Ad-hoc support as required.
