Job Overview:

Responsible for the oversight and direction of business activity within the following areas: Cath Lab, EKG, ECHO and EEG. Demonstrates 24 hour responsibility for personnel and operations. Responsibilities include the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating of economic growth, fiscal responsibility and the quality of the business related scope whether clinical or non clinical. Demonstrates practices that promote the Mission and Vision of UHS and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times and other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates accountability and maturity in job performance. Supports the hospital and departmental goals and objectives
  • Proactively identifies issues or concerns and opportunities for improvement and addresses same within scope of responsibility
  • "Owns" issues within department(s), researches specifics prior to escalating and follows through to closure
  • Participates actively in On -Call as needed. Acts as the Chest Pain Center Coordinator.
  • Promotes collaborative relationships among the staff, medical staff, volunteers, the community and other departments within the system.
  • The Leader collaborates with the SMG member in developing, setting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating standards of care and practice. Participates on assigned community, hospital and medical committees.
  • Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

    • BSN or comparable undergraduate degree. Master's degree in Nursing or Business/Health Administration preferred
    • 3 years cardiac cath or invasive vascular lab experience; prior management experience
    • BLS and ACLS required through AHA
    • Current RN license in the State of Florida
    • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
