Covia is looking for a dynamic IFS ERP Solution Architect with a Manufacturing background responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IFS Applications, particularly within manufacturing environments. This role collaborates with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to translate manufacturing and business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable ERP solutions using IFS ERP.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities:



  • Solution Design & Implementation

    • Develop and architect comprehensive ERP solutions tailored to manufacturing business needs, ensuring integration with existing systems and alignment with best practices.
    • Lead the design and delivery of manufacturing modules (e.g., Process Manufacturing, Engineer-to-Order, Configure-to-Order, Inventory, Shop Floor Reporting, Material and Resource Planning) through all ERP transformation phases.
    • Oversee all project stages, ensuring technical quality, timely delivery, and alignment with organizational strategy.


  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Gather and analyze requirements from manufacturing, supply chain, and operational stakeholders.
    • Facilitate workshops, training, and requirement-gathering sessions to ensure solution fit and end-user adoption.


  • Project Leadership & Collaboration

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, IT, and third-party vendors) to drive project success and resolve complex challenges.
    • Guide internal and external teams through the IFS ERP lifecycle using Agile and Scrum methodologies.


  • Continuous Improvement

    • Lead IFS upgrades, enhancement, and support activities, focusing on manufacturing process optimization and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure post-implementation adoption and provide ongoing support and training to end-users.
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    • Provide day-to-day support and issue resolution related to IFS ERP.





The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of proven experience as an IFS ERP Solution Architect, with strong functional expertise in manufacturing modules and related processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle ERP implementation, configuration, testing, and user training specific to manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience in configuration, requirements gathering, authoring business requirements, complete functional verification and implementation of IFS or other ERP software with Manufacturing and Operations processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to engage effectively at the business and technical level, provide exceptional business service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and active-listening skills with ability to work in a team-oriented/collaborative environment.
  • Strategic mindset with attention to operational excellence and end-user outcomes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive internal and external information.
  • Proactive and adaptable to learning new technologies and industry trends.
  • Project management and leadership skills, experience working in Agile or Scrum environments



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:




  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, business information systems, engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle ERP implementation, configuration, testing, and user training specific to manufacturing environments
  • 10+ years' experience in information systems, including supporting software applications, analyzing, testing and implementing business system changes and/or user acceptance testing including ERP application security and SOD controls.
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing digital transformation and system integrations within IFS ERP environments
  • IFS Certified Professional or equivalent certification
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
  • Business expertise in Manufacturing processes as well as having strong knowledge of other business processes: Part Setup to Costing, Plan to Produce, Procure to Pay.



TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:




  • Up to 20 percent to locations outside Ohio.
