Overview Applied Electronics Technologies Engineer - Systems (Sr, Specialist, Principal) D477 Applied Electronics Technologies (AET) Engineering has openings for experienced, highly motivated individuals to support the development, instrumentation, and testing of electrical and electronic systems. Engineers will apply their prior experience and subject matter expertise to the development and testing of shipboard systems and prototype systems in support of various qualification and development goals. Candidates will be required to fulfill the on-job responsibilities of problem resolution, design error correction, technical analysis, design integration, and development of technical work products. Engineering work opportunities range from concept design through development (end-to-end design), hardware/software integration, test, delivery, and deployment of the system aboard nuclear submarines and shore-side locations. Engineering positions require self-management skills to coordinate and interface with shipyard testing, shipyard trades, material suppliers, other engineering organizations, Navy shipyards, Navy forces afloat, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Strategic Systems Programs, and NAVSEA. Candidates may be required to travel to remote locations and Navy shipyards and will be expected to support weekends/backshifts on occasion. Qualifications Required:
Bachelor and/or Masters of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, Physics, Aeronautical, Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
