Job Overview:

The Cold Prep plays a vital role in our catering team, responsible for the preparation of fresh and delicious cold dishes for our clients. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for food, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Successful completion of general and department-specific orientation
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.

Preferred:

  • Culinary school diploma or degree in a related field.
  • Experience in a high-volume catering environment.
  • Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Part-time
  • 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
  • Some weekend availability is required.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare a variety of cold dishes, such as salads, sandwiches, and desserts, according to recipes or chef's instructions.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with inventory and kitchen organization.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and the cooks to ensure client satisfaction.
