Title: Technical Advisor / Process Trainer- Texas Cell Services
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $86,000 - $119,000
Schedule: 9/80; 5 8's

Focus: The Technical Advisor / Process Trainer - Texas Cell Services is responsible for successful implementation of diaphragm rebuilds at Texas Operations. This includes acting as an activity coordinator for the Cell Service Operators to ensure continuous improvement of diaphragm rebuilds. This role also functions as an interface between Cell Operations and Cell Services to determine optimum timing and manage the resources associated with diaphragm rebuilds. This role backs up the Membrane Rebuild TA and the Texas Cell Services Facility TA. In addition, this role is responsible for coordinating, developing, and implementing a proactive and effective plant training program for Texas Cell Services.

Technical Advisor Essential Responsibilities:

  • Act as technical/process subject matter resource in assigned production area; perform or assist in Root Cause investigations; responsible for researching and implementing improvement opportunities related to diaphragm field work.
  • Coordinate and update procedures; close gaps in operating discipline; coach others on procedure development.
  • Interact with Plant Production Coordinators to minimize production loss and effectively use Cell Rebuild Operators; support job planning and materials acquisition; coordinate with other functions or areas of expertise to resolve EH&S and reliability issues.
  • Track and communicate rebuild schedules; schedule and track Cell Rebuild Operator work using the Work Assignment work process.
  • Assist in training of all operations personnel through classroom, one-on-one coaching, and other methods, development and maintain employee-specific training plans.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the Texas Cell Services training program and work with SME's to implement necessary changes.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date training records.

Technical Advisor / Process Trainer Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing; chlorine experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Environmental, Health & Safety requirements
  • Strong writing, communication, organizational, and computer skills; SAP experience preferred
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain certification as a licensed asbestos contractor/supervisor
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
