The Supplier Marketing Administrator/ Program Manager plans, leads, and organizes projects within the Integrated Marcom Team that supports our Total Science Solutions business unit (TSS) focused on supplier marketing. This individual will report to the Director, Integrated Marcom, TSS, to motivate team members to achieve a high level of performance and quality, delivering marketing programs on time and within budget to ensure marketing programs demonstrate a strong ROI, increase profitability, and deliver on goals/KPIs and our supplier commitments. This position will be a key leader in creating and setting standards within the overall Marketing Operations PMO organization within Global Communications & Brand, implementing risk and impact analysis; building capability across the organization; establishing clear processes, roles, and responsibilities; and being involved in other strategic and tactical initiatives.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, related field
  • Experience: 8-10+ years of program/project management experience in Marketing/Advertising, ideally for large, complex, global organizations with multiple business units

Who you are:

  • Strong understanding of program/project management methodologies and change management. PMP or relevant project management certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing and digital concepts, strategies, tools, and best practices, including campaigns, digital marketing, emails, social media, events, and internal/external communications.
  • Proven ability to drive growth and business impact.
  • Strong experience in developing and using project management technology and related tools, with experience in Workfront or similar preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading remotely with global or geographically dispersed team members.
  • Experience managing and negotiating with external partners, agencies, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Strong business and financial acumen

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Work with teams across multiple cross-functional areas, including Business Unit Marketing, In House Agency (IHA), Marketing Reporting & Analytics, finance, IT, and others to communicate and plan resources needed to achieve objectives.
  • Build and maintain a master calendar of marketing activities/initiatives across Avantor and multiple suppliers.
  • Manage external technology vendors and agencies to ensure programs and tasks are executed according to business strategies/requirements, project/creative briefs, timing and budget.
  • Implement processes and tools that increase efficiency, create standardization, and strengthen employee knowledge and accountability.
  • Manage the planning and execution of the marketing programs, campaigns, and projects within supplier marketing and in coordination with other LSS marketing and communication teams to drive visibility and synergies.
  • Lead the management and tracking of supplier invoicing and income and budget including external spend.
  • Develop comprehensive program/project plans defining scope, objectives, milestones, resources and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive accountability and measurement for marketing programs, ensuring key processes and deliverables are met.
  • Partner with other members of the GC&B PMO to Identify, develop and implement standard processes, templates and governance for project management, change management and organizational development.
  • Build strong relationships with internal/external partners and vendors and facilitate effective communication on projects.
  • Assess the time and impact of changes and communicate to teammates/stakeholders.
  • Serve as central intake function for ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders; be firm but fair in judgement: push back when scope creeps or suggested timeframes/budgets are unrealistic while understanding the goals of the stakeholders.
  • Act as key driver and facilitator to diagnose business problems and develop efficient and productive solutions.
  • Manage overall and individual supplier marketing program budgets, roadmaps/timeline, and KPI reporting.
  • Evaluate and communicate risk and impact on projects and programs.
  • Mange up to 3 direct reports both within and outside USA

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$102,200.00 - $170,300.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
