Job Summary: Prepare in-house loan documentation for non-real estate secured commercial loans. Review of preliminary documentation to ensure it meets appropriate requirements according to approval, checklist, and collateral type. Perform quality control checks for other team members to ensure documentation is prepared as approved and all requirements have been met.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares in-house documentation for loans $2,500,000 and less non-real estate secured commercial loans.
  • Works with lenders and lending partners to prepare loan documentation
  • Responsible for reviewing loan documentation against credit approval and ensure loan documents comply with Bank and federal regulations.
  • Collects, reviews, and analyzes due diligence required to close non-real estate commercial loans including but not limited to entity documentation, UCC searches, buyer orders, good standings, beneficial ownership, and all required documentation based on collateral type.
  • Sets-up initial tracking for post-close items based on collateral types such as insurance, lien release, title, etc.
  • Perfects collateral based on collateral type including filing UCCs as required.
  • Completes the doc prep tab within nCino.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with lending partners and team members to ensure exceptional client experience
  • Ability to review and verify the accuracy of loan documentation.
  • Order additional information from outside sources on an as needed basis.
  • Answer telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing.
  • Performs quality control checks for other team members to ensure documentation is prepared as approved and all requirements have been met.

  • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Bank's Information Security Program.
  • Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Additional Functions:

  • Performs routine duties with minimal supervision using standard practices or procedures.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Performs additional duties, as assigned or directed.
  • Knowledge of financial institution policies, procedures, and regulations preferred.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or a minimum of two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior commercial loan documentation experience to include due diligence requirements of commercial collateral, entity documentation and various loan types such as lines of credit and term loans.
  • Knowledge of Finastra (LaserPro) documentation preparation is a plus.

  • Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to - review and verify the accuracy of loan documentation.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Windows 7, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate skills in understanding and working with database input/output.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Excellent customer service skills, and experience in direct customer interface environments is preferred.

Physical Activity/Dexterity:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

Physical Environment Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
  • Constantly positions self to operate on a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Work Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm.
  • Available for overtime, as needed.

Travel:

  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
