Organic Content Social Media Manager

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to drive the growth of our organic social media presence and help bring our brand to life across digital platforms. This role sits within Booz Allen's Strategic Communications and Channels team. This team tells the Booz Allen story, defines the company's messaging and positioning, and translates our work into tangible value for our people and customers.

As an Organic Content Social Media Manager, you will lead the development of engaging organic content across our corporate social media channels. It is both strategic and hands-on: you'll look at the big picture and also roll up your sleeves to concept, write, and produce content day-to-day. Your work will position Booz Allen as a thought leader and deliver a social experience that fuels engagement, expands reach, and drives understanding of our brand and our value as an advanced technology company. You'll work closely with senior marketers, designers, and video editors to develop and publish compelling content. You'll also partner with communications, executive visibility, brand, and marketing teams to shape a unified voice and craft compelling stories. We're looking for someone who views social media as a strategic business lever, not just a content feed. We need someone who thinks in headlines, understands voice and tone, and can tailor content to meet the moment while building for the long term. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You'll Work On:

  • Drive and develop organic social media content in alignment with company priorities

  • Deliver consistent brand, tone, and voice across all posts and ensure each post meets the quality standards established by the Strategic Communications and Channels team

  • Collaborate with the business and enterprise organizations on campaign creative and copy development to bring complex and highly technical information to life

  • Experiment with and champion new types of content to stay on the cutting edge of trends in our industry and across platforms we use

  • Tailor content strategies to leverage each platform's unique strengths, audience behaviors, and algorithm differences, demonstrating a strong understanding of what resonates on X versus LinkedIn.

  • Set and manage content development timelines aligned to goals and deadlines.

  • Partner with exec comms for leadership visibility and media relations for executive eminence

  • Handle publishing of content on our channels in Social Media Coordinator's absence

  • Manage business partner approvals of copy and visuals

  • Leverage social media-not just to stay current, but because you genuinely love the space

  • Turn complex, highly technical information into scroll-stopping digital content that is easy to understand

  • Lead projects from concept to execution without waiting to be told what to do next

  • Demonstrate a passion for mission-driven work with a demonstrated interest in or understanding of technology, defense, and national security issues

  • Deliver high-performing campaigns on time, even when priorities shift and deadlines tighten

  • Use AI to spark ideas, speed up execution and improve your content while exploring what else is possible.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in social media and digital marketing, including with and for advanced technology companies

  • Experience with copywriting and applying brand tone, message clarity, and platform-appropriate voice

  • Experience with visual storytelling

  • Knowledge of major social platforms, their audiences, and content best practices

  • Ability to translate complex ideas into dynamic and engaging digital content

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and balance competing priorities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working in technology, defense technology, federal government, or related environments

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Experience in video production and video editing for social media

  • Ability to demonstrate an eye for graphic design
