As a Metrology Technician with Husco, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our products meet the highest standards- making a direct impact on innovation, performance, and customer trust. Are you ready to make an impact? What You'll be Doing:
- Facilitate and Execute Inspection: Inspect and measure pre-production material lots to ensure conformance to drawing specifications. Accurately record and report findings for use by engineers.
- Use of advanced inspection equipment (CMM): Use a CMM routinely for inspecting parts. Use existing CMM programs and write limited versions of their own programs.
- Help develop suppliers: Work with supplier quality to ensure correlation of measurements to supplier inspection results. Brainstorm ways to improve supplier measurements. Participate in gage reviews and provide feedback to supplier development teams and engineering teams about improved ways to communicate information via prints.
- Support Engineering Studies, Operations, and Purchasing: Perform engineering studies and/or GR&Rs per the request of the engineering/supplier quality teams. Collect and record accurate inspection and test data, including preparing charts, graphs, or reports. Complete inspection of parts for prototype and pre-production PPAP's. Write purchase order requests to purchase new gages, equipment, and supplies.
What You'll Need:
- Associate's Degree (or equivalent military or formal training in engineering or quality) or equivalent education and experience.
- 2 years of experience in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and the use of standard metrology equipment required.
- Experience related to the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, fixturing, and tooling.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Ability to handle interruptions, meet tight deadlines, and handle conflict in an effective manner.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
