Description PURPOSE OF POSITION: To repair and maintain hotel equipment and building systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees. Answer guest complaints and communicate with guests and associates. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * General Maintenance of outside property (landscaping, snow shoveling, cutting grass, inspections, light fixtures, flags, repair as needed.) * Daily inspections of interior (light fixtures, carpeting, general maintenance, and repairs as needed.) * Daily inspections of swimming pool area (pumps, temperature, chemicals, and cleanliness) * Maintenance requests: Prioritize requests and repairs items as needed, this item encompasses entire property. * Answer radio/emergency calls promptly. * Fire Alarms: inspect regularly, respond to all alarms when on property to determine cause, act accordingly. * Communicate effectively with other associates, guests and vendors. * Safe and careful use of equipment. * Appropriate use of materials and equipment to avoid waste, and unnecessary repairs. * Maintain safe work environment. * Other Duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Previous experience with general repair preferred * Ability to use all general repair tools * Ability to use ladders and lift heavy items * Ability to read simple drawings and specifications Must be able to perform basic math * High School education or equivalent. * Must be able to clearly communicate in English BENEFITS: * Medical, dental, vision and life insurance offered for full time associates following initial waiting period * 401K for eligible associates following 90 days of employment * Paid vacation time for eligible associates * Free employee parking on site * Free meal during each shift worked * Discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resort locations & Hilton worldwide locations * Free/discounted movie tickets at Marcus Theater locations * Hilton branded training and development * Ability to transfer and promote within Marcus Hotels & Resorts * We are an equal opportunity employer and maintain a drug free work place * This organization uses E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility in the US |
