Description The Mission Solutions Business Area at Leidos seeks physicists who can lead and perform research and development efforts. This position will be responsible for R&D activities that support data analytics as well as modeling and simulation efforts. R&D activities span various scientific disciplines and technologies. A successful applicant is expected to be able to convert scientific theory to specific applications of interest. The applicant should also be able to mentor other staff members and lead teams working on R&D projects. The applicant is also expected to write project proposals to the customer as needed. Working knowledge of IT systems is also required.
