Description

The NISC IV program within the Digital Modernization Group at Leidos is seeking a Sr. Document Analyst to support the FAA's Employee Management Support Group in System Operations Services by reviewing and refining a wide range of documents to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and coherence. This role involves enhancing the flow of documents, tailoring content to suit target audiences, and ensuring that responses comprehensively address the original requests. The overall goal is to provide communications support for the efficient operation of System Operations Services.

Primary Responsibilities

Support the Employee Management Support Group by enhancing the flow of documents, tailoring content to suit target audiences, and ensuring that responses comprehensively address the original requests. Collaborate closely with authors and stakeholders to maintain consistency in style, tone, and messaging across all materials including technical documents and to refine and finalize content. Review, edit, and proofread documents to ensure correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and accuracy. Ensure that all content adheres to plain language standards, making ti easily understandable by the intended audience. Provide constructive feedback and recommend revisions to improve the quality of documents. Have good communication and writing skills and be able to clearly explain technical details and issues to non-technical individuals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience or if no degree, additional related work experience can be substituted.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience editing a variety of documents, including government, HR, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with document management tools and software (e.g., MS Word, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Ability to adapt content effectively for diverse audiences and organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain documentation on projects and communications including design notes, templates, promotional materials and other documentation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work well with management staffs including external organizations to ensure timely follow up and on-time completion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of FAA culture and organizational structure is preferred but not required.
